Bullying, failure, low self-image and poor character decisions are at the heart of many of the challenges facing young people today. John Maxwell and the John Maxwell Team have decided to do something about it. Certified John Maxwell Team speakers are offering YouthMAX, a youth leadership curriculum, designed to give today's young people practical tools and ideas to help them navigate life. YouthMAX gives John Maxwell Team members an opportunity to serve youth and youth organizations in their communities by helping youth grow and develop to meet the challenges of life in today's changing world. Recent studies continue to highlight the significant prevalence and impact of child abuse and bullying on mental health: 1. Child Abuse Prevalence: In England, child cruelty and neglect offenses have more than doubled over the past five years, with 29,405 offenses recorded between April 2022 and March 2023, compared to 14,263 during the same period in 2017-18.  2. Bullying Statistics: In England and Wales, approximately 34.9% of children aged 10 to 15 years experienced in-person bullying behaviors, and 19.1% experienced online bullying behaviors in the year ending March 2023.  3. Impact on Mental Health: Both child abuse and bullying are strongly associated with mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. A study found that bullying is linked to severe mental health problems, including self-harm and suicidality.  4. Social Support Perceptions: Experiences of bullying and abuse can lead to poor perceptions of social support, affecting self-esteem and coping mechanisms. Research indicates that bullying impacts mental health partly by instilling the belief that others cannot be trusted, or that the world is an unfriendly, dangerous, or unpredictable place.  5.
